Collection of access data and log files
To ensure the proper operation of our website, we collect data about access to the server on which our website is located (so-called server log files). These log files store information such as the name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type (including version), the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider. Cookies and web beacons
Cookies are used on our website. When you visit our website, these are stored locally by your browser. The locally stored cookies allow the browser to be identified on repeated visits to our website.
So-called session cookies remain stored for the duration of the browser or website use and are deleted from memory at the latest when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies can be used to store certain preferences and settings for our website in the browser so that they can be retrieved when you visit our website again. Persistent cookies are deleted after the defined storage period has expired.
We use cookies on our website (e.g. Google Analytics cookies) to measure information on the use and reach of the website. This is done on the basis of our legitimate interests in constantly optimizing our online offering and improving your user experience. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analyzed. Based on information stored with cookies, we can, among other things, display pop-up messages once during your visit or manage login functions to access certain content.
You can deactivate the use of cookies from our website and/or third-party providers at any time in your browser settings or allow/block them individually. Please note that deactivating cookies may mean that you can no longer use certain functions of our (and other) pages to the same extent.
Google Analytics
On intelligentfood.com we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. or Google Ireland Limited(www.google.com). Google Analytics uses cookies that enable us to analyze the use of our websites by our website visitors (not on a personal basis). Google Analytics is configured in such a way that your IP address is shortened by Google within Europe before it is forwarded to the USA and all functions that would allow identification via an existing Google account are deactivated.
Based on our configuration of Google Analytics, we assume that the information we share with Google is not personal data for Google. Nevertheless, we cannot rule out the possibility that Google may use this data to draw conclusions about you for its own purposes, create personal profiles and link this data to individual Google accounts. If you have a Google account, you are generally identifiable to Google. Google is then responsible for processing your personal data in accordance with Google's privacy policy. You can find more information on this in Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Analytics only tells us how our websites are used, without providing us with any personal information about users, and you can deactivate the use of Google Analytics at any time by installing a simple browser add-on. You can find the add-on at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/?hl=de.
By default, all data at user and event level that is linked to cookies, user IDs and advertising IDs (e.g. DoubleClick cookies) is deleted from Google Analytics after 26 months since the last activity of the corresponding user.
Google Web Fonts
We use Google Web Fonts for the consistent and correct display of fonts on our website. When you load our website, the corresponding fonts are loaded into your browser cache. The use of web fonts serves the uniform, error-free and appealing presentation of all texts and fonts.
To display web fonts, your browser establishes a connection to Google servers. This informs Google that our website has been accessed via your IP address. You can find more information on how Google handles this information at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

In some places on this website, other third-party content, such as captchas from Google reCaptcha or graphics from other websites, are integrated. As a result, when the website is loaded, the third-party providers become aware that our website has been accessed via your IP address. Third-party content and services are only integrated in exceptional cases and always with the aim of improving user-friendliness and user convenience on our website.
Contact via email and contact form
If contact is made via the email addresses or contact forms provided on the website, the personal data transmitted with the email will be stored. This data is used to process the contact. You also give us your consent to use your data for advertising and marketing purposes (e.g. information about product innovations, the organization of events, etc.) as well as for market research, opinion polling and media monitoring.
Processing on social media channels
We operate our own presences on online platforms operated by third parties, such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and process data about you in this context. We process data about you via the platforms (communication via the platform, retrieval of content, comments, likes and other functions), which you provide to us yourself, and we also receive non-personal data from the platforms (analyses). The operators of such platforms may also process this data for their own purposes (e.g. marketing and market research purposes and for the administration of their platforms) in accordance with their own terms of use and data protection and therefore act as data controllers. Therefore, please consult the privacy policies of the respective platforms.

Processing in contractual relationships
As part of the contractual relationship with us, you or the data subjects provide us with personal data when you or they contact us, e.g. by email or telephone, to enquire about our products and services. This includes, for example, name and contact details as well as information about the role of the data subject at the company or organization for which you or the respective contact persons work or on whose behalf you or they contact us.
We process this personal data in order to provide, document and invoice our services within the scope of our contractual relationships. We also process your contact data or that of your employees or other contact persons for marketing purposes (using any means of communication such as email, social media, post or telephone) in order to inform you about publications, events, news, services or products that may be of interest.
Recruiting
If you apply for a job with us, we process the relevant data for the purpose of reviewing the application, carrying out the application process and - in the case of successful applications - for the preparation and conclusion of an employment contract. In addition to your contact details and the information from the relevant communication, we also process in particular the data contained in your application documents and the data that we can additionally obtain about you from generally accessible third-party sources, e.g. from job-related social networks, the Internet, the media - as well as from references, if you consent to us obtaining references about you.
Unless you inform us otherwise, we reserve the right to accept and review your application for other positions that may be suitable for you. With your consent, we will also keep the application for a limited period of time so that we can check whether you are suitable for future vacancies and we can inform and contact you accordingly.
Disclosure of data to third parties
In order to achieve the purposes described in this privacy policy, it may be necessary for us to disclose personal data to the following categories of recipients External service providers, insurance companies, authorities and courts as well as business partners with whom we may need to coordinate our services.
We process the personal data within our area of responsibility in Switzerland or the European Economic Area. However, we may transfer the personal data to recipients who process the personal data in other countries, including those that do not guarantee a level of data protection comparable to Swiss law. We will do the latter on the basis of consent or standard contractual clauses, or if it is necessary for the performance of a contract or the enforcement of legal claims.
Duration of storage
We only store personal data for as long as is necessary to process the client relationship, if there is a legal obligation to store and document data, if we have an overriding private or public interest in doing so or if storage is technically necessary (e.g. in the case of backups or document management or archiving systems). If there are no legal or contractual obligations or technical reasons to the contrary, we generally delete or anonymize your data after the storage or processing period has expired as part of our internal processes.
Data security
We take proportionate and reasonable precautions to protect personal data against loss, unauthorized modification or unauthorized access by third parties.
Your rights
As a user, you have the right to request information about the personal data stored about you at any time and free of charge. In addition, you have the right to correct incorrect data, block and delete your personal data and object to the future processing of your personal data in accordance with the legal requirements.
Please note, however, that conditions and exceptions apply to these rights. To the extent permitted or required by law, we may refuse requests to exercise these rights. For example, we may or must retain or otherwise continue to process the personal data despite requests to erase the personal data or restrict processing for legal reasons within the scope of our statutory or contractual retention obligations.
If you have any questions or concerns about our privacy policy or your personal data, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can do this by sending an email to contact@intelligentfood.com or to the address given at the beginning of this privacy policy.
