Thoughts Under The Helmet is a podcast about people in sport – athletes, coaches, physios, mental coaches and everyone who knows the world of sport from the inside. And about the stories you’ve never heard before.
Presented by Louis Eisenhut. A podcast by El Tony Mate.
We meet people who have dedicated their lives to sport and ask the questions nobody else asks. About injuries and doubts. About what drives someone to get back up time and time again. About the moment before the drop, the season that almost brought it all to an end, and the reason why they’re back anyway.
New episodes from the Swiss and international sporting world. Presented by Louis Eisenhut from within the world of El Tony Sports.
Episode 01 – Jonas JJ Junker
JJ didn’t take up snowboarding because he wanted to become a pro. At the Crew Clash in Adelboden, he explains how it all really began – and what it took to keep going. Injuries, mental lows, and a short film called *Rebuilding Resilience*, which he felt he owed it to himself to make.

Episode 02 – Lena Jo Müller
Two Swiss skateboarding titles. Podium finishes in Big Air, Halfpipe and Slopestyle snowboarding. A broken wrist. Piano as therapy. At the age of 23, Lena Jo Müller is proving that the sporting world’s obsession with specialisation may well be completely misguided.

The host – Louis Eisenhut
Some people interview athletes. Louis Eisenhut talks to them – because he himself knows what it feels like to give it your all for the sport you love.
As the host of *Thoughts Under The Helmet*, Louis brings something to the table that cannot be learnt: genuine curiosity. This instinct to dig deeper, ask the uncomfortable questions and then really listen is what makes these conversations so fascinating.
Louis Eisenhut grew up on a mountain bike. When he was 10, his father took him on his first bike tour around the Valais – and he’s spent every spare minute on his bike ever since. In 2015, he competed in his first downhill race. After five years as an amateur rider, he found his way into content creation and, since 2020, has been showing his online community what it means to become a professional mountain biker.
Together with his wife Maddy, he founded Alpine Ride – a mountain bike guiding service in his home region of Interlaken that shows people of all ability levels what a day on the bike can be like. Alongside this, he works as a project manager at BEBike, helping to develop official MTB routes in the canton of Bern. ‘Thoughts Under The Helmet’ is the logical next step. Louis knows the world of sport from the inside – as an athlete, as an entrepreneur, and as someone who knows what it takes to make a living from his sport. This gives these conversations a quality that cannot simply be manufactured.
