El Tony Mate is bringing its Selected Sessions concept to Marseille and transforming Merguez Fripe, the city's iconic second-hand shop, into a dancefloor. This is exactly what the Selected Sessions are all about: a lovingly curated music programme that brings together international headliners with local crews in places you wouldn't expect.

Bambounou - producer, DJ and founder of the BAMBE label - is a distinctive voice on the Parisian electro scene. He has a special blend: Franco-Malian-Polish roots, a passion for astrophysics and dystopian science fiction - all of which flow into a sound that distils UK techno, IDM and African percussion into something unique. His debut album Orbiting and its successor Centrum, released on Modeselektor's renowned 50Weapons label, made him an international reference early on. On floors such as Berghain, Concrete and De School, he has proven that his sets radiate energy, rhythm and substance.

Atipik & Boite à Malice are the local crew for this evening - two collectives that are deeply rooted in the Marseille electro scene. Atipik, whose residencies include Nido Marseille, and Boite à Malice, known for their debauched marathon parties at Absolem, know the city and its dancefloors like no other. Together, they epitomise what drives Marseille musically: eclectic, authentic, unmistakably local.
