World Cup race on the Chuenisbärgli
In the giant slalom on Saturday, the Swiss athletes had to contend with poor visibility. Only five of the eleven Swiss made it into the second run. Justin Murisier qualified for this run and was the first Swiss to open it. His outstanding performance enabled him to make a strong climb up the rankings and he eventually finished the race in 13th place.
Slalom on Sunday:
Marc Rochat put in a strong performance in the slalom in Adelboden and ended up as the best Swiss in fifth place, which was a highlight for the Swiss.
This season he is showing a steadily rising performance curve and has already secured a place in the points for the third time. In the second run, he put all his eggs in one basket and crossed the finish line just 21 hundredths behind the third-placed driver.
But Rochat also says in the SRF interview with a wink: "The day could be even better with a podium!" Nevertheless, there will be a "little party".
