District Ride 2026 Double podium finish for El Tony Mate
At the District Ride 2026 in Groningen, EL TONY Mate athletes Tim Bringer and Lucas Huppert celebrated a strong joint success: Tim won the Urban Slopestyle contest, whilst Lucas rounded off the podium in third place. This means that two riders from the EL TONY Mate team are on the podium.
Urban Slopestyle in the heart of Groningen
On 25 July 2026, the centre of Groningen became the stage for an extraordinary mountain bike contest. The urban slopestyle course wound its way through the city centre and was divided into three distinct sections: Dual District, Park District and Big Air District.
Each section presented the riders with different challenges. Technical lines, big jumps and a spectacular drop from a height of around 15 metres really put the athletes to the test. The judging criteria included difficulty, execution, style, creativity and overall performance.
El Tony Mate athlete Tim Bringer put in a consistently strong performance across all three districts. With 94.33 points in the Dual District, 95.13 points in the Park District and 95.26 points in the Big Air District, the Frenchman scored a total of 284.72 points.
Lucas Huppert also put in an impressive performance on the challenging urban slopestyle course. The Swiss rider scored 92.33 points in the Dual District, 90.58 points in the Park District and 91.80 points in the Big Air District.
